For the average well driller, the drilling of a water well drilling rig is nothing more than to quickly find the drilling position of a large amount of water. If there is insufficient experience, it is likely that the well will be drilled without water.
So how to find water according to the characteristics of terrain?
1. “Pick the ground and find the water is the most beneficial.” Groundwater on three sides surrounded by mountains, the groundwater flows to the groundwater of the groundwater intensively, so when the well is drilled near the groundwater of the groundwater, there is a lot of water.
2. “There is a ditch between two mountains, and there is water flow in the ditch rock.” There is a valley between the two mountains, and it is easy to find water sources in the rock layers on both banks of the lower reaches of the river valley.
3. “The two ditches intersect and the spring water rushes.” There may be spring water beneath the mountain mouth where the two ditches meet. If you dig a well here, the water source is more reliable.
4. “Shanzui vs. Shanzui, there is good water under the mouth”. The two shanks are opposite and close to each other. The terrain under the two shanks is flat. It is easy to draw water when drilling wells at the lock.
5. “Two mountains and a lone mountain are often dry.” If the rock layer under the Gushan becomes a water-proof layer due to the local variation of lithology, it can block the flow of groundwater, and by drilling a well upstream of the Gushan, the water can be discharged.
6. “Two mouths hold one mouth, there is spring water below”. The mountains on both sides are longer and there is a short mountain in the middle. At the mouth of the middle mountain, if there is a permeable layer on the top and an impervious layer on the bottom, wells can be produced by drilling wells in low places.
7. “Mountains are low, and the amount of spring water is large when digging wells.” The mountains are connected so far that they are submerged, and groundwater can be found in the aquifer where the topography of the submerged end is appropriate.
8. “The mountain turns its head and there is water”. The low area of the mountain bay caused by the twisting of the mountain blocks the groundwater flowing down the mountain, enriching in the aquifer, and there is water in the well.
9. “Convex mountain to concave mountain, good water is in the concave room”. The shape of one mountain is convex toward the opposite side, and the shape of the other mountain is concave inward. The convex and concave are directly opposite. The water source is good in the low part of the concave mountain, and the amount of water for drilling wells is large.
10. “The big mountain bursts out of a spout, and there is much water in the well.” A shorter mountain protrudes in the middle of the Changshan Mountain. Drilling wells in the lower part of the slope of this mountain Tsui generally produces water.
11. “Bay to bay, water is not dry”. The two mountain bays are directly facing each other, and flooding or good water plants are found in the middle of the bay, which is a manifestation of the backwaters in the mountains. Wells are drilled here and there are good springs.
12. “The junction of the two mountains, there is a spring flow”. In general, there is a lack of running water between the mountains. The rainy season may discharge the water at the joint, and the groundwater in the dry season may emerge as a spring at the joint.
13. “There are many pebbles on the floodplain, and the underground diving is like a dark river.” Although the rivers have dried up in winter, there are dive flows under the floodplains, which can intercept and store water and draw wells to draw water.
14. Look for ancient river channels along the river. Although the ancient river channel is now buried, the aquifer is gravel, and there is still diving flow, which is a good place to drill wells.
